This is a company that is not crippling their new product like Nikon does.
0 I don't see where they holding back anything for the "next" model. They are not only after upgrades from their customer base but market share. I already have a GH3 and it does what no Nikon or Canon does. It gives me unlimited - unattended Video at 1080P 60. The improved OLED Monitor and promise of better low light high ISO and better Video are enough for me to add the GH4k, but this is going to make a really good Event Photography Camera for stills too. |

This camera is not out yet, There are a few panasonic released sample videos which you can youtube which show some nice images thus far, but since we don't know all the details of how those videos were shot, it's best to hold off judgement until its release.In the meantime, we can look at the features and draw comparisons to what's currently available.
The GH4 will likely be a popular camera, when it's released it will be the cheapest 4k capable DSLR by a margin, the only other one to date is the 1DC which is many times the speculated price of at or around 2000 for the gh4. If you consider all the options offered along with the addon unit, they really threw the kitchen sink into this camera, and if we can expect it to perform similarly to the g6/gh2/gh3, this thing will sell like hotcakes.

Can't wait to get my hands on this camera. It will address all the flaws that the canon cameras are plagued with starting with 4k recording that canon also has but for a 15k price tag. Also a better audio interface hardware and tons of other options that you cant get right out the box with the canon cameras without ML or a bucket of money. Love canon and all there great cams but they should have came out with a camera like this 4k ago. Suckers!!!
